Equal Means Equal expressed interest in wanting to start a podcast to keep listeners updated on the latest Equal Rights Amendment news and reached out to me for branding. Their podcast is named Women's Journal 2.0. It was important to them to pay homage to Lucy Stone's women's rights periodical, the first iteration by this name that was published from 1870 - 1931. Women's Journal 2.0 continues the work of early activists fighting for equal rights for women through information, education, and action. The logo I created is modern reminding us that establishing equal rights for everyone in this country is as much an issue in 2019 as it ever was. The freedoms we have as Americans were hard-fought over time by those in and left out of the history books.
